Today's lecture in Biology was rather sugarless so I ended up staying awake in class through finding nifty little things online. This is the result of my hard work; articles of clothing that I will not be able to afford anytime soon. Empty wallet.

I realize that there are many fish in the sea, but a girl can not help but desire the most territorial yet gentlest sea monster that inhabits the deep blue.
All I want is the emperor of the ocean or the messiah of this vast sea, but why do you keep slapping me in the face with pathetic little sea cucumbers. I understand they account for 90% of the biomass of the deep blue, but seriously I am severely exhausted from constantly avoiding being smacked straight and center with one of those not too slithery things; so either turn me into a siren or make me into the czar of the deep blue.

There may be a serious chemical imbalance in my brain, because I get all wispy and snug when I look through wedding photos. I feel my insides get all caramel-like and I just want to embrace something; usually it is my floral pillowcase because no one knows of this shameful wedding photo addiction I have, but they are so very adorable. Love can be adorable, but usually it is time-consuming and absurd. My lethargy forces me to stick to my hobby of stalking wedding blogs rather than pursuing love. Ah, so sad, so pathetic, and so completely humiliating.

Agh! Last night was a bundle of interesting events. It always muddles my brain when a stranger is convinced they really like you; and then you proceed to question them. What do you know about me? Any-hoo, any-hay. I am sipping on ginseng tea right now and I happened to trip across some handmade boutonnieres on one of my favorite wedding blogs. Yes, I know I am so elderly with my home decor folder and wedding files on my computer, but have you seen these cute and delicate handmade boutonnieres???

Today is going to be a paper-writing day for me. I feel so extremely haggard right now; hair all knotted and lips severely chapped. I had to write two exams today, but I am done for now!

Skipped to the grocery store and picked up some cheap wine, yoghurt, and chocolate (kinder surprise).

After that quick metro skip, I went for tea with a friendly boy, Chetan. My go-to girl.

I have no school tomorrow so I will be apartment hunting with my quirky roomie.

The inhabitants of this confident city will most likely discover me wandering the frosty & busy street of St. Laurent tomorrow night.

The emptiness of my wallet is causing me much pain, but it will be a-ok because I may have met a boy who is willing to teach me the wonderful language of french.

Anyhoo Anyhay; I am going to scuttle away to have dinner= cheap wine in plastic cups and stale crackers with hummus.

1. What did you do in 2009 that you have never done before?
Cuddled on an inflatable in the ocean

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for 2010?
Half of them, but then again I never ever take my resolutions too seriously. They tend to be rather humorous and completely odd. Many people's New Year's resolutions are usually in the category of self-improvement. I always think there is room for self-improvement. Self-improvement = major project and New Years resolutions = mini projects on the side.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth in 2009?
Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die in 2009?
Thankfully, no.

5. What countries did you visit this year?
China = I ran along the Great Wall of China with my camera & it was absolutely delightful.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
More quiet time; the words I would use to describe 2009 would be a never-ending commotion. This year I want more silence to meditate to. Montreal is brilliant for this because when the snow falls there is a muted aura. Ah the hush is splendid.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 21st 2009 = The day I learned to drop into the massive quarter-pipe on my skateboard

The entire month of June = Ramen, dream-catchers, bicycles, kittens, sunken boat, exploration, cotton candy trees

August 4th 2009 = The most epic thunderstorm to have ever occurred in Richmond British Columbia; the lightning explosively danced across the sky as we spectated.

October 16th 2009 = This day was absolutely soul-slashing and heart-wrenching; the procession of a series of rather unfortunate events. Heart-ache & heart-break; the destruction of a ridiculous amount of kleenex boxes

8. What was your biggest struggle in 2009?
Ah, learning how to say ' no ' to people. I am absolutely horrible at turning people down. I would dash 3 times around the world and climb up Mount Everest with only a jacket to see people smile. I think learning how to say ' no ' to people will be a lifetime struggle.

9. Did you suffer any illness or injury in 2009?
I had a nasty infection on my leg due to a fall in Tawassan skateboarding, and then I made the brilliant decision to go swimming with it the next day which only made it worst. Yuck!

10. What was the best thing you bought this year?

1. A wicker basket for Atticus (my bicycle); took much weight off of me when i cycled to work and such

2. The Ultimate Dessert Recipe Book = I spent many wondrous days creating lavish cupcakes and blood-warming cookies with my lovebugs

3. My sunflower straw-hat; kept the sun from blinding me and always pushed me into an exploration mood whenever I placed it upon my head

my grandmother, who supports and has supported since my mother birthed me.

My August relocation to Montreal.

A very very very secret lavender field; it smelled wondrous. I would lay there on a quilt for hours listening to sleep-eyed tunes.

Today most definitely felt like suminter! The glorious sunshine gave the illusion and the hype that it was first day of the long awaited summer, but the glacial frostiness of the air confirmed that it was indeed still winter.

The suminter aura of today was certainly the number one encouragement for me to place a mammoth peachy-pink flower in my midnight hair. I do fancy that cotton-plastic hair clip; if only it smelled like a flower and not only resembled one.

But jolly, her dedication for our comical friendship has made her purchase a train ticket to journey down to Montreal in a week and wee bit.

Well well well.

I have been in such a blogging mood recently; although it may be completely due to how extremely lethargic I feel! Blogging requires only the delicate movement of my cold fingers on the white keyboard. Little taps here and there, forming words and such.

I just got back from an hour and a half run, and my morbid mood has gone right out the door.

Tyler made delicious ice-cream tonight = a dairy love!

His ice-cream creations can make you give up sexual intimacy as a whole.

This is my last tidbit before I rest my sweaty head.

No school tomorrow for me, but I will be book-worming my way through my urban sociology textbook in the creaky Birks library.

Kings of convenience has a new album that plays absolutely brilliantly in my ears.

Well the album is new to me at least; Declaration of Dependence.

As I aimlessly slipped to class in my salt-destroyed boots today, I listened to their chanson "me in you'.

I made the conclusion, that there are many grains of you within me. You float into my stew of a brain occasionally; constantly causing chemical disasters within me.

To sum it all up; I have accomplished everything and nothing today. My garments are privately twirling in the washing-machine; soaked in laundry detergent that cost me close to nothing and labeled with the two words 'arctic air'.

I have been knitting again. There are very valid reasons for why my acquaintances categorize me into the elderly puddle. I fancy afternoon naps, absurd novels in dim stairwells, strolls through the stimulating morning air, wedding blogs, rustic home decor, cats with human names, knitting, and crafty arts.

My mother knit my father many sweaters when they were dating. Toothpaste colored sweater with mustard colored plastic buttons; definitely one of my favorites. Oh her stories of their courtship; fascinating and completely disturbing. I wear my father's sweaters now. They are massive on my petite frame, but comfortably provide me with a sense of home.

Slow-motion days like this one menacingly make me come to the conclusion I may be through with love, but who am I spoofing with. I have been through with love since I was 8 after a series of unfortunate occurrences.

Perhaps this is why I continuously slash souls and mangle hearts; including my non-existent one.

I miss him or perhaps my boredom misses him.

Either way the 'arctic air' scent of my fresh garments are calling for me.

We made an attempt to battle the cold, but the cold won. Although we lost, we stirred up some troubling fun in a little cluttered room on the street of university. A beer here & a beer thither. Claire was asking for a hair-cut; so we gave her one; an Irena Lazerneau thick full frontal bangs look and some detached strands of hair in the froth of her half finished drink.

We shook our heads and rocked our bodies to some bombay bicycle club; and proceeded to finish the night with cigarettes and laughter

Apparently Claire brought this stained green snake to a bloody beetroots show; and it participated in crowd-surfing and was on stage. What a superstar, but then again look at the face and look at that tongue- you can't help but think wild child!

Today I woke up with a cold sweat. One would usually describing sweating as a seeping warmth. Its gotten really chilly here; I am definitely not use to it. I wore stir-up tights, leggings, thigh highs, and socks yesterday and I still felt the cold reach my bone marrow. Trying to fight the cold; maybe its time to embrace it. Mayhaps become a cold-blooded reptile.

I was listening to the song 'undertow' by the stars today and I strangely felt as if she was singing my current emotions to me. Near the end of this bittersweet song she asks, "do you pick the storm or do you pick the shore?" Well I believe I have picked the storm; the blackest and the greyest, the most morbid, and the gentlest eye of a storm.

I miss my house and I miss my home. I miss the way my ex-lover would scratch my back in the morning and present me with a cup of black coffee that had a pinch of sugar in it.

This is the storm; it takes everything from you and mercilessly throws you into a whirling confusion just to spit you out in a open field with only the grass and the sky.

I chose this.

Now to wait for my relocation.

We are having a competition between different houses. The competition is to see who can save the most power. Therefore we have been unplugging refrigerators and ipod docks. It is going to be a dreary and grey kind of month, but so far I have been enjoying the comfortable, dark, and rustic feel.

I did not have any classes today so I have made myself a japanese matcha green tea in my little rouge thermos. Quiet quiet quiet day.

I had left-over yellow chiffon fabric from the dress I wore on Friday; so I made the decision to create a headband out of it.

Stir-up tights are my latest fascinations. When I pull them on, I feel as if they are yanking the bridge of my feet up. It is an interesting sensation.

I was so terrified of slipping in the snow. The underneaths of my shoes had no grip whatsoever so all the black ice and snow made me feel like silly putty.

Apparently it was a classy night of $8.75 white wine from the night before. Lindsay even has her glass mug. My nails are adorned with a blood red nail paint and my wrists are cozily wrapped with a jade bracelet from my grandmother and a dollar store plastic bracelet.

Yellow chiffon dress is from my treasure scouring adventure at value village. I hemmed it a hour before the formal dinner, and securely wrapped a sky blue head band around the waist. My thoughts were that it would invite people to glance at my waist; after all the band is a beautiful color.

Floormates above! Level-headed and responsible bunch. Well responsible enough to never lose the panties to a random bunch, but the joyous times never cease to decline.
